Demographic issues and socio-economic implications Collection home page

Demographic issues influence the economic growth, productivity, the standard of living, labor market, and demand for financial assets in a country or region. Demographic trends and issues can be gauged through analyzing population growth, changes in population distribution across different areas, and changes in the composition of a population. An empirical study of demographic trends can enable policymakers to identify pertinent issues and present solutions that can ensure fair and equitable distribution of rights, welfare and health services, economic and political opportunities, and resources in a country.
