Abstract: This study explored the perception of feminism in Lahore, Pakistan, and the impact of social media on those perceptions. The research aimed to compare the views of Generation X and Generation Y, and how social media shaped their perceptions. The study used a quantitative method by conducting surveys. The results indicated that social media has a significant influence on the perception of feminism for both generations. Generation X had outdated views on feminism, acknowledging female oppression but not seeing feminism as a solution. Generation Y had a better understanding of feminism and greater awareness. The study highlights the crucial role of social media in shaping opinions and perceptions. This research provides insights into the impact of social media on feminism and can be useful for future studies investigating the role of social media in social issues
